Our Mission

  • Protect, Preserve and Purchase sacred and culturally significant sites of the Shinnecock Community and Sister Tribes.

  • Provide educational resources such as workshops, classes, books, films, working spaces etc. on the history and culture of Shinnecock people for the Shinnecock Community and for the community at large.

  • Bridge the gap of cultural and historic awareness between the indigenous communities of Long Island and our neighbors.

  • Facilitate land acquisitions on properties that are culturally and resourcefully significant to the Shinnecock community and Sister tribes for their (our) use and benefit.

  • Rehabilitate and steward lands acquired by, or entrusted to Niamuck Land Trust.

  • Do our part in preserving our lands, waters, history, and culture for the next SEVEN generations.
